The Entertainment Economy

A review of the district’s entertainment economy has completed. The Panel considered whether there is a good mix of entertainment both daytime and evening that serves the needs of residents of all ages, people choosing to work in the district and that makes the district an attractive place for visitors.

The Panel looked at options for the location of future entertainment provision and assessed the infrastructure that supports the economy.

Appointments to Outside Bodies

Councillors are appointed to sit on a wide range of outside bodies from trusts and charities to consultative or advisory organisations. A review of councillors’ appointment to these bodies has recently completed. The review panel focused on the appointments process, what constitutes an outside body and the duties of councillors representing the council on these bodies.
